View Last week's report Vs Norfolk Line        The midweek team suffered their first defeat for three weeks when they entertained Crystal Millennium at Keelby.  To be fair the opposition are top of the division and unbeaten in seven games but we were still disappointed not to set a more challenging total batting first and thereby giving our bowlers something to bowl at.
       Things started well enough with us reaching 26 from the first 4 overs but when Matt Bevis was out for 16 we lost momentum despite a quick 14 from Danny Bevis and 21 from Ashley Briggs. All in all it was just too steady for a 16 overs game and our total of 77 for 5 never looked sufficient.  It would have been preferable to lose 5 more wickets in exchange for 30-40 runs which would have enabled us to put pressure on the opposing batsmen.
        Paul Parker and Mike Phillips did well conceding 24 and 21 respectively as did Adam Roberts bowling his 2.5 overs for 12 runs but they were always up against it. The outcome appeared  inevitable and so it turned out.
