    Match Report

A glorious day in Lincoln but not so good for Keelby facing a strong Old Lincolnians team. Keelby elected to bowl and were straight away under the cosh as the Lincolnian openers punished any wayward bowling. Sadly the bowlers struggled and the fielding did not help with catches dropped ( admittedly some were quite difficult). The one bright light was Mark Wade's spell of 8 overs costing just 16 runs. Bowling changes were frequent as Keelby tried to stem the flow of runs and take wickets. Old Lincolnians reached 200 after just 32 overs but Keelby were rewarded for their application when Luke Roberts and Udi Sheikh shared 6 wickets. Surprisingly Keelby managed to bowl Old Lincolnians out though the 241 runs ( the last 6 wickets costing 42 runs) target set was a massive ask for Keelby's batsmen, perhaps any in this division. The Keelby batting struggled from the beginning, the skipper losing his wicket early whilst others seemed set for big scores and frustratingly losing their wicket to lapses of concentration. The game ended in the 32nd over with Keelby whittled out for 101. No complaints with the score, Old Lincolnians deserve their victory and will figure strongly for top place at the end of the season. As for Keelby 2's, we must be more consistent - a good performance in the previous match and sadly an average performance in this match though no one can knock the team's spirit, application and certainly there is ability in the team so things can only get better.

    Champagne moment.

Udi Sheikh's dance of celebration after taking his third wicket. Although was it in celebration? Perhaps it was a rain dance and oh boy could we have done with a heavy downpour at about 4pm!!!!!!
